Prior to the advent of modern antibiotics, thyme essential oil was used to apply gauze, while thymol has antiseptic action and as of today, is the main ingredient in many mouthwashes. Thyme drink can also be used to treat coughs and bronchitis.

To prepare an infusion, put 1 tablespoon of herb, without stalk, in a cup of boiling water, cover for 10 minutes and strain it!

Due to its strong and slightly bitter taste, but also its special aroma, you can add thyme in a wide variety of recipes, from salad to sauces, baked or grilled meat, chicken and fish, or even risotto.
